About Us

Park & Brown was established in 1986 to provide an optical service for the local community in and around Billingshurst.  We are an independent, family run, company dedicated to providing a high quality eyecare, contact lens and optical dispensing service.  We believe that local eyecare shouldn't have to be expensive and all our products come with a complete satisfaction guarantee.

Geoffrey Brown - BSc. (Hons), FCOptom - Optometrist

Geoffrey studied Optometry at City University, London and he registered with the General Optical Council in 1979. He then worked for a small independent practice as well as a large optical group before cofounding Park & Brown.  He was Optical Advisor to West Sussex Health Authority and has served on the Local Optical Committee advising on standards and education in practices.

He is a keen golfer, plays table tennis, watches football at all levels and enjoys cycling (in good weather). He was a founder of Billingshurst Chamber of Commerce and has been their one and only treasurer!

Paul Jeffery - FBDO - Dispensing Optician

Studied Ophthalmic Dispensing at City College, London and registered with the General Optical Council in 1975. He also worked with several independent practices before joining Park & Brown in 1991.

He is interested in travel, photography and motor sport.
